MMW COIL Taiwan
MMW partners with universities in Taiwan to offer MMW-013 Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Taiwan in the spring term.
MMW students work alongside peers in Taiwan remotely throughout the quarter, culminating in a digital collaborative project and an individual research essay based on that work. The seminar-style course emphasizes discussion, presentation, intercultural exchange, and active engagement, requiring participation in both in-person class meetings and weekly online collaboration sessions with students in Taiwan.
Applications open in winter. To be eligible, students must have completed or be currently enrolled in MMW-012/MMW-012R. To learn more about MMW-013 COIL, contact Professor Matthew Herbst at mtherbst@ucsd.edu or visit the course website.
