We recognize that a student's transition into college also leaves our parents with plenty of questions as well! Many parents and family members share a desire to want to learn all you can about this new place your student is entering, and how you can support them in their transition.
Parents and family members can also find additional information and resources through the programs offered by UC San Diego. The Parent and Family Programs page can connect you to the essential role you play in your student's college journey!
For additional information, please visit our FAQ page.
The Family Orientation Hub provides a singular location for parents and family to connect with UC San Diego's campus. It will connect you to informational webinars, allow you to explore campus offices and services, link you to other Triton families, and help you support your incoming Triton. You can register for the Family Orientation Hub here.
For our international families, UC San Diego offers the International Parent and Family Orientation. This program, offered in later September, serves to connect the parents and family of incoming international students to campus culture, resources, and services through virtual and in-person, on-campus programming. You can learn more about what this will look like, as well as how to register for International Parent and Family Orientation here.
