Paola Arroyo is a second year student from Chula Vista, CA. She has lived in Mexico, speaks English and Spanish, and lists Australia as her top vacation destination. At ERC, Paola plans to pursue a double major in Anthropology and Psychology as well as a minor in Ethnic Studies, but is elusive about her future plans; “First things first, graduate from UCSD!” She shouldn’t be in any hurry as she is enjoying her involvement in UCSD’s Oasis Learning Community, the Academic Transition Program, and Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (M.E.Ch.A). Look for Paola on the ERC Green just outside the freshmen residence halls – if it’s a sunny day, you’ll find her reading in her favorite spot.
