Jared Chewning is a second year Human Biology major from Anaheim, CA. He has travelled to Alaska and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, speaks some Spanish and reads Hebrew, is member of PASS (Pre-med Association of Students for Service), and works as a DJ at UCSD’s very own radio station, KSDT. Jared is a pre-med student who wants to be a surgeon because he was inspired by the surgeon and therapist who helped him after a traumatic sports injury. As he works toward that goal, he is loving his role as an Orientation Leader and looking forward to Welcome Week where there’s “lotsa free and neat stuff/food” and a great way to meet fellow ERC-ers. Jared claims that if he were in charge, the Big Bopper Ice Cream Cookie would be available at all the dining halls!
