Mala Dorai is a third year student majoring in Cognitive Science (specializing in Neuroscience and Clinical Studies) and minoring in Biology. Mala claims that she would turn UCSD into Hogwarts if she were in charge, but we suspect she wouldn't need to go so far to create a sense of magic around her. Originally from Toronto, Canada, she has travelled to Tanzania and England, and plans in 10 years time to maintain a home in London while working as a child neurologist for Doctors Without Borders. Within her first two years at UCSD, Mala has been involved in PASS (Pre-medical Association of Students for Service), Kappa Kappa Gamma, Cognitive Science Student Association, and Greeks Against Sexual Abuse. She loves to hang out at Perks Café, waits anxiously for each Gray's Anatomy night, and thinks Christmas time is the best time of the year. The key to Mala's successes so far? Perhaps it can be found in the story of her swallowing a key when she was six years old....
