Christine Rafla is a second year student from San Diego, CA. It appears that she chose a fitting major - International Studies/Linguistics - as she has travelled to Egypt, Cancun, and Minnesota, and speaks three languages in addition to English. It follows, then, that Christine hopes to study abroad as an undergraduate and eventually plans a career as a translator or interpreter while working for a governmental agency. Closer to home, she has participated in The Vagina Monologues at UCSD as well as Dance Sport "Show" Team (Junior Varsity), Coptic Club, and Recreation jazz classes. Christine's advice to new students: Take advantage of the language tables at Café Ventanas during the school year (she can tell you more about them at Orientation)!
