Can I participate in the ERC Commencement Ceremony in June if I am still taking classes in the Summer or Fall?

Yes, All students who have completed all their courses in the time frame of Fall 2011 to Fall 2012 may participate in the commencement ceremony on June 17, 2012 at 1 p.m. on the RIMAC Field.

How do I ensure that I am able to participate in the ERC Commencement Ceremony?

You must fill out the Degree and Diploma Application at http://degree.ucsd.edu.  All students who wish have their name printed in the Commencement Program MUST fill out the DDA no later than Tuesday MAY 1, 2012.

You will need to visit the UCSD Bookstore the first week of June to pick up your Commencement Ticket as well as pay your Graduation Fees and order your cap and gown.  You must have your commencement ticket to participate in the Ceremony.

How many guests may I bring to the Commencement Ceremony and do they need tickets?

All ERC Graduates may bring as many guests to the commencement ceremony as they would like.  It will be open seating with a first come first serve base for seating location.  Tickets are NOT required for guests.

Should one or more of your guests have any sort of disability please email the Student Affairs Office to ensure accommodations may be made.  There will be an ASL translator up on stage for those individuals who may have hearing impairments.  Mobility on and off the field may be impacted by the numbers of people.  Please plan accordingly.

When and How do I order and pick-up my Cap and Gown?

The UCSD Bookstore will sell caps and rent gowns inside the UCSD Bookstore.  No pre-ordering is required.  Annoucements regarding times and locations for purchasing/pick-up will be made from the Bookstore and any information we receive will be updated on the Commencement Page. 

College Honors at Graduation

Eligibility for college honors is based upon the cumulative grade point average (GPA).  In addition, to be eligible for honors, a student must receive letter grades for at least 80 quarter units of course work at the University of California.

I want to participate in another college's Commencement Ceremony, how do I do this?

You must file a ticket exception with UCSD Commencement Committee. The deadline has not yet been annouced.  Please check the UCSD Commencement Exception Request Page for further details.
