Triton Day

Congratulations!

You have earned admission to UC San Diego and Eleanor Roosevelt College through hard work and a strong record of personal and academic achievement.  If you accept our offer of admission you will join a thriving community of students, scholars and professionals.  In addition to academic challenges, you will have the opportunity to become involved in everything from world affairs to local events.  Along the way you will form many lasting friendships.

UC San Diego is organized into small college communities set within a large research university.  At Eleanor Roosevelt College (ERC), you will be part of a living-learning community of 3,600 students.  At the same time you will have access to all of the academic and research programs, internships, study abroad options, and student services of one of the nation's finest public universities.  You can specialize in one of over 150 majors, study with faculty who are internationally recognized for their research and teaching, and take advantage of exceptional sports and  recreation facilities.

Whatever your choice of major at UC San Diego, ERC will help you gain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the job market or when you apply to graduate school.  Global forces shape every aspect of our lives from the food we eat and the values we hold to the careers we pursue and the music we enjoy.  ERC's interdisciplinary core sequence, The Making of the Modern World, provides the intellectual foundation needed to understand our world.  Co-curricular activities, ranging from the Global Marketplace to alternative spring breaks, provide opportunities to explore identities, express commitments, and make a difference in the lives of others.

UC San Diego and Eleanor Roosevelt College are exciting places to live and learn.  We are eager to introduce you to them.  The best way to learn more is to visit .  I hope you and your family will attend Triton Day on April 5, 2014.
