ERC Office of Residence Life Staff
The Resident Dean, Assistant Resident
Dean, and Residence Life Coordinators are responsible for the overall Residence Life program and
the supervision of 26 student staff members. They also coordinate
facilities management with the Custodial, Maintenance, and Grounds
staffs. The professional staff are available Monday through Friday
during the daytime office hours. They live on campus and are involved
members of the community, participating in various college events
and responding to emergency situations that might arise during the
night.
Resident
Dean
Rey Guerrero has been with Eleanor
Roosevelt College since 1992, and has been Resident Dean since 1997.
Originally from the Monterey Peninsula, Rey earned his Associates
Degree at Monterey Peninsula College before finishing his BA in
Art Studio at UC Santa Barbara. He worked as the Tour Coordinator
and Admissions Counselor at UCSB before earning his Master's Degree
in College and University Administration from Michigan State University.
Prior to coming to UCSD, Rey also worked at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
As Resident Dean for Eleanor Roosevelt
College and International House, Rey is responsible for the overall
administration of the three "neighborhoods" that make
up our college residences. When asked what he likes most about his
job, Rey replied, "Having the opportunity to create a second
home for the students of ERC and International House."
Assistant Resident Dean
Sean McCarty
has been at Eleanor Roosevely College since Spring 2007. Originally from Kentucky, Sean earned a BA in Studio Art at Arizona State Universty before completing his Masters of Science in Higher Education Administration from the University of Kansas. At ERC, he oversees the students and staff in the 5 residence halls, Earth North and South, as well as Middle East and Oceania. Prior to coming to UCSD, Sean also worked at San Diego State University.
Residence Life Coordinator
Justine Hince
has been at ERC since Summer 2007 and is a graduate of UCSD and Eleanor Roosevely College. At ERC, she oversees the students and staff that live in I-House, as well as the Mesa Verde and Geneva Apartments. Prior to working in the ERC ResLife office, Justine was a Resident Advisor in I-House.
Residence Life Business
Manager
Sandra Tripp assists staff and
students with financial matters for the office. Before coming to
ERC in 2001, she spent 15 years working on campus in residence life.
Administrative Assistant
Nora Herrera provides assistance for students at the Residence Life Office. Nora started her position in 2002.
