Lincoln High School

Lincoln High School is a traditional 9-12 high school located in the Diamond District of San Diego. One of the largest schools in the San DIego Unified School District, Lincoln is home to approximately 1,500 students. Recent changes at Lincoln include beautiful new campus buildings and its growing status as an icon in the community. The ERC/CREATE Math Tutor Corps was developed with Lincoln’s student population in mind: it supports the school’s college-going culture and serves as a resource to assist students in reaching their future goals.

CREATE

UC San Diego's Center for Research on Educational Equity, Assessment, and Teaching Excellence (CREATE) is an innovative education research center that supports and promotes diversity, excellence, and equity in education. CREATE actively links UC San Diego to the local K-20 community through college preparation and success programs, research and program evaluation, school improvement efforts, and educator professional learning. The ERC/CREATE Math Tutor Corps is supported by the center’s CREATE STEM Success Initiative.

Math for America San Diego

Math for America San Diego seeks to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics in regional high-needs schools by providing professional development, mentoring and other forms of professional support to teachers, schools and their districts. MfA SD, housed in CREATE, is a consortium of three public universities and five San Diego school districts.
