The Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill is a non-partisan, non-profit organization
dedicated to Eleanor Roosevelt's belief that people can enhance the quality of
their lives through purposeful action based on sensitive discourse among
people of diverse perspectives focusing on the varied needs of society.
ERVK operates out of Stone Cottage, which is the original Dutch fieldstone
cottage constructed at Val-Kill for Eleanor Roosevelt by her husband Franklin
D. Roosevelt. Provost Ann Craig was among the honored guests
attending the 1999 Ceremony at Val-Kill Cottage honoring that year's Eleanor Roosevelt Medal recipients.
