  • The UCSD General Catalog is a useful tool.
  • Majors are ordered in the catalog alphabetically.
  • A 2.0 GPA is the minimum GPA required to graduate - cumulative as well as within a major.
  • Courses required for the major must be taken for a letter grade.
  • Lower division courses used to satisfy major requirements may ALSO be used to satisfy lower division minor requirements. This is not true with upper division courses!

UCSD does NOT have a Business Major.

Teachers do NOT Major in Education: Prospective teachers major in an academic subject or group of subjects, while at the same time taking special courses related to educational topics. Interested students should contact the Teacher Education Program office regarding prerequisites to the Graduate program.
