Academic Advising

Current students may see Academic Counselors during Help Desk or Appointments or for general questions, use the Virtual Advising Center.

Virtual Advising Center (VAC)

The Virtual Advising Center is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week except on holidays. Post your question there, and an academic counselor will respond to you after 72 business hours.

Typical matters for Help Desk include:

Quick questions taking no more than 15 minutes
Degree Audit checks and corrections
Study Abroad Planning form signatures
Academic questions not involving a long-term plan

Typical matters for Appointments include:

Long term planning
In-depth exploration of majors
Academic difficulty
Discussion of academic opportunities (internships, etc.)

College vs. Major advising:

ERC Academic Advising provides students with general major information and specific ERC and University requirement and policy information. Major departments provide specialized advising. The department advisors are central to the campus and are not associated with the undergraduate colleges.
