Tourist Attractions

  • San Diego Wild Animal Park is located about half an hour northeast of campus.
  • San Diego Zoo is about 20 minutes south east of campus.
  • Sea World is about 10 minutes south of the campus.
  • Legoland California is located about half an hour north of campus.
  • The Gaslamp Quarter is in downtown San Diego. A list of restaurants and highlights of San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter.
  • Seaport Village is a cute tourist attraction by the airport and downtown. Great as a first stop after picking parents up at the airport, or as a time filler between other activities.
  • Balboa Park has a huge variety of museums, gardens and other attractions. Check out their website for free museums on Tuesdays, and a list of when certain attractions occur.
  • Birch Aquarium at Scripps. Located walking distance of campus.
  • The Maritime Museum features a collection of historic ships such as the Star of India the world's oldest active ship.
